ARCS Los Angeles Founding Chapter Receives $2.76 Million Donation from Elizabeth and Frank Whiting's Golden West Foundation

Looking back, 2014 turned out to be a pretty impressive year for worthy causes in Pasadena.

For example, Cheryl Craft, of Pasadena, president of the Los Angeles Founder Chapter of ARCS (Achievement Rewards for College Scientists) sends word that ARCS Foundation received a whopping $2.76 million donation, in December, from Elizabeth and Frank Whiting’s Golden West Foundation. A Pasadena resident and devoted member of ARCS, Elizabeth “Betty” Whiting tragically died in 2002.

Since its inception in 1958, ARCS has awarded more than $84 million to over 14,000 scholars.
